The Cathedral Domain is a camp that is committed to providing a facility and atmosphere that promotes spiritual renewal, recreation, relaxation, and education, in a Christ centered environment.
Like the mountain on which it rests, the Cathedral Domain is ageless and truly is the “the heart of the diocese.”
The Cathedral Domain was initially inspired, conceived and started by Bishop Moody as a boys’ camp and is operated under the auspice of the Episcopal Diocese of Lexington.
The camp has grown from just a boys camp to a multipurpose children's camp, family,
church, and business retreat.
Covering over 800 acres in the mountains of Lee County, “The Domain” is 1½ hours south of Lexington, Kentucky and adjoins the Daniel Boone National Forest.
Our facilities include a recreational pavilion, playground, activity field, pool, archery range, nature center, rock climbing and repelling stations, hiking, fishing, and much more.
The Cathedral Domain is accredited by the American Camp Association. Being an
ACA-Acredited® camp means the Cathedral Domain meets up to 300 national standards for health, safety and program quality.
