Episcopal Camp & Retreat Center
The Cathedral Domain
“A Mountain to Remember"
The Cathedral Domain camp and conference center promotes spiritual renewal, recreation, education, outreach and collaboration in a natural and Christ-centered environment. Like the mountain on which it rests, the Cathedral Domain is ageless and truly is the “the heart of the diocese.”
One trip to the Cathedral Domain and it becomes clear why those who visit the Domain continue to return year after year. The spirit and peace residing in these hills is what makes the Cathedral Domain so special and definitely a “Mountain to Remember.”

Why choose the Domain?
The Cathedral Domain is 1.5 hours southeast of Lexington, covers over 800 acres in the mountains of Lee County and adjoins the Daniel Boone National Forest.
Our cabins generally house 8-12 campers, most with outside decks overlooking the pool, volleyball court or activity field. Cabins have at least one bathroom as well as showers, hot water & sinks.
The Conference Center provides lodging and convening rooms for groups to hold retreats or conferences.
While enjoying three meals a day, along with an unlimited salad bar, guests will dine in the Bishop Commons dining hall, which maintains a “Grade A” health department rating. Vegetarian options are also available.
Guests have access to a wide range of activities, including hiking through a cave with our trained hike leaders, cooling off in the pool (staffed with certified lifeguards), archery, rappelling, rock climbing and much more.
The wood gothic cathedral overlooking the mountains and outdoor shrine provide great opportunities for worship.
