Located in the scenic mountains of eastern Kentucky, The Cathedral Domain offers a unique mountain getaway to host your special event, workshop, retreat, wedding and more.  This quiet, rustic development is on 800 pristine acres adjacent to the Daniel Boone National Forest with a variety of accommodations, food and activities.  You can host a retreat or workshop to focus on your objectives and goals with indoor and outdoor meeting and breakout spaces, a variety accommodation options and a warm, friendly, dining hall with healthy comfort food.   If you need some action to get those creative juices flowing or take those group dynamics to the next level, there is world-class rock climbing and rappelling, hiking, caving, archery, ballfield games and outdoor swimming.  And if you need some quiet space to recharge and refocus, there is a meditation garden, a campfire site, catch and release fishing and plenty of natural retreat spaces.  With a backdrop of spring blooming dogwood and redbud trees or dashing fall leaves, a wedding at the Domain will be an event to remember.

The Domain offers a variety of inside and outside meeting and reception spaces to accommodate groups from 12—250.  Options range from an outdoor covered pavilion to a cozy fireside living room to several more traditional-style meeting room spaces to a wood gothic Cathedral or an outdoor shrine.

We have a variety of audio-visual equipment, tables and chairs with wireless internet available in the Dining Hall and the Great Hall.  

Fourteen cabins and other buildings are scattered around a half-mile paved oval and the variety of overnight accommodations range from natural-air modern cabins (linens optional) to climate-controlled cabins to double-occupancy rooms with private baths.  Most cabins have Tempur-Pedic mattresses and all have restrooms and showers.  There are several handicap accessible accommodations.  Tent-camping is also an option if your group wants to sleep nearer the stars and be immersed in the fresh, rejuvenating mountain air.   

Our modern dining hall seats 200 and can offer three meals a day and a variety of menu options to accommodate your group or event.

The Domain is located in central eastern Kentucky and is within easy driving distance of Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky, Louisville, Lexington, Huntington and Knoxville.
